Connect your advertising campaign data directly to Google Looker Studio for advanced analytics and interactive visualizations. Our integrated dashboard provides real-time insights, while the private connector lets you create custom reports tailored to your specific needs.

Accessing Looker Studio Integration

View the Integrated Dashboard

Navigate to Reporting > Looker Dashboard in your ad:personam platform to access our pre-built interactive dashboard. This embedded dashboard provides:

Real-time Data: Automatically updated campaign performance metrics ✅ Interactive Visualizations: Charts and graphs you can filter and explore ✅ Multiple Views: Campaign overview, performance breakdowns, and detailed analytics ✅ Mobile Responsive: Access your data from any device

You can view the dashboard directly within the platform or open it in a new tab for full-screen analysis.

Setting Up the Custom Connector

For creating your own custom reports and dashboards, use our private Google Looker Studio connector.

Step-by-Step Guide to Using the ad:personam Looker Studio Connector

Step 1: Access the Connector

  1. Navigate to Reporting > Looker Dashboard in your ad:personam platform
  2. Click the "Looker Connector" button in the top-right corner of the page
  3. This will open the private connector setup page in a new tab

Step 2: Authorize the Application

Authorize the application to access your ad:personam data. Your data security and privacy are our top priorities, and access is strictly used for report generation purposes.

Step 3: Configure Your Data Source

Enter the necessary information to set up your data source:

  • Select Report: Choose which report to use as your data source:
    • Delivery Analytics (default) — Full campaign delivery metrics including impressions, clicks, conversions, cost, viewability, video performance, plus site domain and inventory source breakdowns
    • Real Time Delivery Analytics — Same core campaign metrics updated in real time, without the site domain and inventory source dimensions
  • Advertiser IDs: Input one or multiple advertiser IDs, separated by commas, to include data from multiple campaigns
  • ad:personam Username: Enter the username associated with your ad:personam account to validate data access

Note: To use both reports in the same dashboard, add the connector twice — once for each report type. Each connector instance creates a separate data source.

Step 4: Choose Report Template (Optional)

You can select "Use report template for new reports" to utilize our pre-designed template tailored for advertising data analysis. This option provides a robust starting point for exploring your data.

Step 5: Establish the Connection

Click "CONNECT" to finalize the setup. Once connected, you can create and customize reports using your ad:personam data in Looker Studio.

Authorization

To use the connector, you need to authorize the ad:personam connector in Google Looker Studio for the scope .../auth/script.external_request. This permission is required to enable secure access to external data sources, ensuring the connector can retrieve and process your campaign data effectively. This is a standard step for integrating third-party applications and ensures that your data remains accessible only through authorized means.

Available Fields in the ad:personam Connector

The connector provides access to different fields depending on the selected report. All fields are automatically inferred from the data source.

Creating Calculated Fields in Looker Studio

The connector provides raw metrics from the data source. To derive performance KPIs, you can create calculated fields directly in Looker Studio. This gives you full control over formulas, formatting, and naming.

How to Create a Calculated Field

  1. Open your report in Edit mode
  2. Select a chart, then click Add a field in the data panel (or go to Resource > Manage added data sources > Edit > Add a field)
  3. Enter a Field Name and a Formula using the available fields from the connector
  4. Set the appropriate Type (e.g., Percent, Currency) and click Save

Below are common KPIs you can create using the fields provided by the connector:

Field NameFormulaType
CTRclicks / impressionsPercent
CPMcost / impressions * 1000Currency
CPCcost / clicksCurrency
CPAcost / conversionsAllCurrency
CPCVcost / videoCompleteCountCurrency
vCPMcost / viewImpressionsIAB * 1000Currency
Completion RatevideoCompleteCount / videoPlayStartCountPercent
Conversion RateconversionsAll / impressionsPercent
Engagement RateengagingImpressions / impressionsPercent
Viewability RateviewImpressionsIAB / measurableImpressionsPercent
Gross Costcost / 0.85Currency
Cost (USD)cost * 0.84Currency

Tip: Looker Studio handles division by zero gracefully in calculated fields — if the denominator is zero or null, the result will be null. To display percentage fields correctly, set the field format to "Percent" in the chart configuration.

Adjust the discount factor (0.85) and EUR/USD exchange rate (0.84) in the formulas above to match your current terms.
